Understanding the €25,000 Rule

Mandatory SCE Ticket

If your **annual turnover from catering services** (excluding drinks) exceeds **€25,000**, you are legally required to use a Certified Cash Register System (SCE) and issue strict SCE tickets for all transactions.

Standard VAT Receipt

If your catering turnover is **under €25,000**, you are not required to use the SCE system. However, you must still issue a VAT receipt for every meal consumed and any accompanying beverages.
